sounds like fuel starvation, years ago I had a mk1 fiesta that had a similar issue, when it was hot, would start to cut out and then die, wouldn't restart unit it cooled down then ran fine. I found it was a fuel pipe that was running too close to the engine and was causing the fuel to evaporate...

I fit oil temp, oil pressure, voltmeter and water temp. Tapped into ignition feed for switched live and existing dash lighting circuit for illumination- no problems experienced over last 2 years
