    Mating old exhaust parts

Maybe I'm out of date here, but I didn't think you could use exhaust paste before the cat in case any excess paste broke away and got inside it. David

    Photo Help

Got my spot light kit months ago, but never got round to fitting them. Eventually, because of personal circumstances and my lack of technical abilitiy I decided to put it in the hands of my local LR Indie. It took them a couple of hours, but with reference to markyzs180's post, the bumper on...

    Photo Help

As I understand it, as you have the facelift model, fitting spots like bustersbus and Matt is difficult because there is nowhere convenient behind the bumper for the brackets. This means the easiest option for you is to fit the pod lights as in silkwoods photos. David

    Mirror demon!

With regard to the mirrors folding in when indicating I can only think a short in the wiring. The mirrors on mine sometimes do not fold from the switch on the first attempt and it can take several goes to get them to work. It has been suggested that changing the switch may help and as it's...

    which 18" tyres?

Replaced all 4 of mine about 2 years ago, like for like, with Pirelli Scorpion STR's. The tread pattern is different from the ones I took off and I find them quite noisy on the road. However, in the heavy snows of this year I have never been stuck and always felt in control. I wouldn't buy...

    Bridgestone Tyres?

I changed all 4 on my TD4 a couple of years ago now. It had Pirelli Scorpion STR's on when I bought it, so I opted for the same. (Don't know what the difference is between ST's and STR's) Big disappointment!!!! They've changed the tread pattern and mine are very noisy. They've still got...

    Does Freelander have aux heater??

There was a member on another forum who carried out a conversion on his FBH with a kit bought from Maplins. I think he paid about £40 and he can switch on the heater from inside the house with the remote control before he goes out. Very handy on frosty mornings.

    strange 2nd exhaust under bonnet

It's a Fuel Burning Heater. It should start up when the outside temp is 5 degrees. It helps to warm the engine water temp. The noise you can hear is the heater going through it's 'run down' cycle for a short while after you turn off the ignition. All perfectly normal but it can be...

    Freelander service

Firstly I would find a good independent LR specialist. The one I use quotes £191+ change for an 84000ml service. This might help with what's needed:

    Powerfold Mirrors

Some people have found that replacing the switch solves the problem. Mine does the same, but not all the time. If it gets worse I think I'd change the switch first.
