You could also tell him you think your cam belt is on its way out as its riding on the pulleys....he should bypass the test then! ;)

Oh and my teacher is my boss.......ex vosa vehicle examiner, crash investigator and head fleet engineer for arriva buses and hoyer tankers. To say he's quite educated on the matter is an understatement!

Make sure your air filter is tip top. That can cause black smoke. The test is for how black the smoke is. The MoT tester shouldn't be hitting your vehicle with anything.... finger and thumb to check for corrosion or at the best the ****ty corrosion assessment tool. Even then it should be used...

As an MoT tester myself, I don't think he has been very sympathetic towards your lany. Mine is like a tea bag but its all a genuine pass sticking to vosa`s rules.

Hiya guys. I'm wondering if anyone has any ideas about break off pressures of injectors. The main question is if the 300tdi injector should have a break off or pop pressure of 280-300 bar what would happen if they were say 300-400 bar? Sensible answers please:p
