lets face it... landrover build quality is poor over the whole range.. not just the defender. as for chassis covered in rust well thats never going to change , i worked on a 57 plate tdv8 range rover the other week , and the chassis looked 15 year old. plastic trims were falling off it. it...

yep, think we have all done this with a 90 etc.. this is what i did with mine , with a massive spare wheel on the tailgate.:)

Check the voltage to the glow plugs , see what ya got .......

agree mark, its the way forward.:) did do a small section with spray can , and looked mint...

20 mins , to remove. hour and half to clean up.... may do it black.... dont no yet . ye dirty , what the pants or the headlining...... it looked far worse once it was removed , i can tell you.

After a couple of threads on here recent , i thought it was about time to do something with my headlining ,as it was in a mess... so thought would do a how to while i was at it .. here are some pics.... First of all ,remove trim where needed clips in headlining etc. go easy not to break...

Think the best thing is , like you say sam, get your engine out , transfer bits , and get it running in your landy.. at least then you know what your up against once its running. like already said , dont think the guy would of gone to all this trouble, too fit it , and then know he would...
