Well i have put my New ( well to me) pump on, that was a easy job :) Runs like a dream. So far .... :D Only thing i find is from cold Dorris doesn't start as easy, needs a few cranks to get her going. but that is from dead cold , tried her last night before i went to work and this morning, But...

Mines a Disco 1 so don't know how different it is, but only took an hr to remove it . just carefully take out the clips and screws and it came out the back easy .

The problem is i have had it on my shelf for about 5 months , it was described as LAND ROVER DISCOVERY 300 TDI AUTO EDC INJECTOR PUMP VGC so i can't really prove it was wrong as i've had it for so long

Found out what it is from Rover 220/420 2.0D grrrr. ohh well that goes straight back on Ebay

Can any one tell me what the 1st picture ( one with the small collar) is from? I got it from ebay asa 300tdi injector, but it is wrong where the flange bolts onto the engine Bit stuffed now as mine is out (second pic). a si have to buy another one now i think i'll go down the mechanical route...

Hi All just a quick question if i may, i am replacing my lift pump again and just took delivery of one with the rubber block and screw on pipes ( britpart) but it doesn't fit , won't clear the injector pipes. am i right in thinking this is the one for the Defenders? i can't see why it would be...

Quick update, put a drop more oil in as it was at the bottom ish of the marks and went for a blast up the road, getting out of town was fine, the 1st 10 mins on the A41 bypass wa sok, then it started again, but not half as bad as yesterday. so it seems to do it when the engine / gearbox is hot ...

Quick update just in case it helps anyone in the future. All pipes etc. seemed ok so i left alone. It was 100% the EGR blanking plate gasket. the one that came with the kit wasn't very good, i put a decent one on ( sorry no part number just ordered it from our local auto parts shop) and a week...

Had a quick 5 minutes today and had a look around the MAF area and noticed sooty deposits around the egr blanking plate. on removal the gasket had blown, so cleaned up quick bit of gunk and refitted. on the way home all was well. Hopefully that was it, but this saturday i'm planning a full...
