Put a new starter on now the hand brake cable is smoking in the cab and it bearly turns over. :/

Just replaced oil pump now off to get second hand starter and get it fitted;)

Thanks was hoping it would be something like earth strap. You know easy and cheap.

Tried to start discovery last night it was slow turning over then smoke started coming from under the bonnet I had a quick look and I think it was coming from the starter I had this reconed the other day. Any ideas of what the problem could be. Thanks

I'm new to the site, I drive ( when I works) a 3 door p reg discovery 300 tdi. I'm slowly repairing everything that goes wrong:D
