Afternoon all. Had a good look at my LandRover today. No obstruction in inlet tract, air filter good. Pressure tested intercooler and pipe work, no leaks, small amount of oil in pipe work though. Looked at turbo, no sign of scoring on housing, rotor has a bit of side to side...

Morning All, Lot of water about lately.....Squealing when wet so I think I need to replace/tension the Aux drive belt. Manual says use special tools LRT-12-093/4 which I don't have. Has anyone replaced this belt without removing the fan, is it possible to do so? I would have a go...

Went to the local motor factors after some MTF94, man opens his book of oil equivalents up and then hands me a bottle of 10W40 semi synthetic engine oil. When I doubt him he tells me it is the equivalent/same stuff and that MTF94 is just a trade name. Does anyone know if this oil really is an...

Hi, Anyone had any experience of paraffin/Diesel mix in a TD5? Been watching this thread and as a result am now running on used engine oil mix. May be able to get lots of 'free' paraffin. I have looked at the MSDSs and they are almost identical. Anyone tried it? Cheers Mike.

Hi, Haven't yet looked at the fuel shut off, but that is next on my list. I get normal engine light when starting. No lights when the fault occurs. Perhaps I can convince the dealer to change the shut off valve for me for no charge! Booked in March 17th. Heres hoping...

Thanks for the replys,The TD5 has electronically controlled unit injectors which are enabled by the ECU. I was thinking that maybe one of the many sensors that feed the ECU (inlet tract air mass/temperature sensor?) might be the cause. I cannot replicate the fault with a hose, and the cab is...
