Hi Paul, dont know if it helps but on a long outing like ours we're spending approx £70 a day, covers everything.

Used to have a 109 with a transit lump, was noisy but had loads of torque, much better than an early landy engine.

Think they average about 7 to the gallon, saw loads of them in Russia and there is a polish ebay site that sells them a lot cheaper than the site that Gman found.

Mine is standard fender engine with relatively new turbo, doesn't use a lot of oil, standard LT77 box, recently changed, disco t/b. Always felt that wasn't enougfh power in the engine to effectively use 5th gear, hoping that slightly smaller tyres will mean I can now use the full range of gearbox

Your grill, rad and intercooler will stop most of the crap entering the inlet pipe.
