I got 5litres engine oil 5 litres mtf and 5 litres of ep90 all for the pricely sum of £50 from my local oil shop

Decided to finish off the oil change seen as I had a few hours spare. I knew I needed the t55 torq bit for the gearbox so I went to buy one, purchased a set for £30 and made a start, got under the landy and noticed that the nut had been swapped to a square drive making my newly acquired set...

Phew!! Thought it could of been something more serious and expensive!! I will see how it starts in the morning as it's been taking upto 30 seconds to fire up then quite a lot of dense white smoke, clears after a few revs which I presume is un burnt diesel

Cheers James, when I removed glow plugs three of them were covered in oil, any idea what the problem there is?

Changed diff oils (so much for garage doing it 4 months ago, it was lile black tar) put new glow plugs in as it has been struggling to start, fitted diff guard on front, reSr wouldn't fit as p/o has put a stupendous amount of filler on it, got a axle I've refurbed so no big issue. Got transfer...

Lol mine doesn't even have a filter housing, it's piped up from snorkel direct to turbo :eek: It's on my to do list of jobs which I never get round to, has been like this for nearly a year of ownership and God knows how long before:eek: I try not to think about it so then I won't worry about...

What brand are glow plugs pal, an a price inc postage for just plugs

Lol its dried out a bit and has now stopped working again!!

I'll 2nd that discovery2td5, and as a bonus all those bumps have got my rear indicator working:eek: no more flashing the work lights to signal left haha

Half of footwell repaired, had to weld another piece in as the floor plate crumbled away, few more patches to put in but not bad for a novice welder, run out of gas so a bit of contamination, but am happy with it, no more cold and wet feet!!
