Trust me the difference will be big. Its still grey, but deeper as you said. I also have a black L series with grey plastics. :)

You should try to use some turtle wax(or equivalent) bumper shine on yours. My plastic looked like yours before. But after the 2-3 layers of bumper shine it looks black instead of grey.

I fitted polyurethane bushes on mine 6 months ago and i used silicone grease when i fitted them. No squeaky sounds yet.

If both your wires are live at the same time something is wrong. You cant have the right wires. Where do you get your feed from?

The orange and the brown/pink wire is directly to the superlock motor. The CCU(motor driver) are changing the polarity to either lock or unlock. That means +12V orange(brown/pink ground) will unlock and +12V brown/pink(orange ground) = lock. Pink wire and orange(common with superlock motor)...

I have to disagree with you on this one Simon. If you can fit the IRD yourself and you have a proper new VCU(that wont screw up your "new" IRD) you can buy/fit 3 used IRD's before youre coming close to paying for a new one. Winu is addicted to shiny things thats why he needs a new one :D

Yours is a L-series if it is a 99-model. You can fit a transfer box from TD4, K-series as well as from the L-series. But you should try to find one newer than ca 2001 because of new ratios.

Its only the ABS warning lamp that should stay lit until you reach a certain speed(about 7km/h i think) not the 3 amigos. I think the best thing would be the visit someone that can diagnose the Teves ABS/ETC ECU. When this guy thought it was a earthing problem it was just a wild guess.

Would have been easier if you posted what model you had. You have the TD4 right? Its just besides the ABS pump. There are two earth wires connected to point 362 and 343.
