I have towed another Freelander behind mine L-series on a boggy car trailer. 2000(+50)kg wasnt a very big problem. I was a little worried about some steep hills, but it managed okey.
I would have no worries towing with the TD4.
You have to drain it and remove the heater and the "intake box/plastic thing". But as Winu told me you can also cut the carpet around the heater/the box. Might be a lot easier.
It was supposed to be a fast and easy job. I never have the time to work on my Freelander. But its slowly progressing. Now my Defender Puma is arriving soon, so hopefully i still got some time for my FL. :D
Now the "only" thing i have left to replace is dashboard. But it takes some time to...
That is a very clean Freelander Winu. Im very impressed on how much effort youre putting on everything you do.

You probably landed on Gardermoen, Rygge or Torp(Sandefjord) then.
It wont set off the airbag, but your whole SRS system will be disabled and SRS warning lamp will be on with the passenger pretensioner unplugged.
It isnt very unsafe to drive around without a functional airbag system if you dont crash. But then again you never know if your gonna be in a head...
Well not any sense to what i wrote. I was trying to explain how much i hate to remove the bumper because of the screws that get rusted shut. Like it would almost be easier to drop the engine to gain access to the radiator than to remove the bumper to gain access.
English is not my native...
Ok, maybe its just a norwegian phenomenon. We use to much salt in the wintertime here and i havent come by a front bumper that i didnt have to drill out the screws yet. There is also no support behind those screws so when drilling youre just pushing the soft plastic upwards. So here lies my...
