The plastic stat housing has metal inserts which allow it to be tightened only so much, so I'd guess the rubber gasket itself is failing...

Nothing, but it passed its MOT (its first one under my ownership) with no advisories.

In a nutshell the front bumper has to come off... It's a long time since I changed the rad on my FL1...

Now replaced with a Freelander 2 TD4 auto via a Subaru Forester, but we'll gloss over that...

I've used both Rimmer brothers (quite a lot) and Britcar (once) when trying to source parts such as clips and special fixings etc. I remember using Foundry 4x4 when I had the FL1 for VCU bearings as they were the best price for the GKN ones. Im sure I have used a few others along the way for one...

Mine gives me the low fuel warning with about 50 miles left to go and I'm sure the guage is showing around a 1/4 too...

Are the front springs from a 2011 model compatible with those from a 2009 model? p/n's LR032904 & LR032898 Thank you

Have found some Mintex rear brake shoes suitable for 2001 on Freelander 1's. Still have the stuff left on the list in the original post. Need to make room for all the bits I'm sure I'll collect for the FL2…
