A friend had the same on a transit. When cold all fine, when the system heats up, it loses power to nothing. Turned out to be a clogged exhaust (mainly cat)

Thread revival....I tried hitching the trailer lights to the hippo and surpisingly only the right side works, nothing on the left. no indicators, no light, nowt. is this a known fault?

Yes it does look very nice, I've seen that fly-eye but was scared that they might crease when I do them Re wheels I would go for powder coating as it is much more duable

Imho when i saw the finished product (with smoked headlamps, black side repeaters etc) i though whooooa thats dark! :D
