What have you done to your Landie today.

After bringing the trailer to work for a friend to borrow, I realised my trailer hookup wasn't supplying the right voltage to the right tail/brake light. Brief inspection found the culprit... (a hack job...which I further hacked). A few new heat shrink solder thingies and a new wrap of tape, a...

    Onboard Air...

I've got a 90 so limited on space underneath. I think the 25 litre tank might be a tad too big. Luckily I found another workshop type compressor in the shed at home. I think I picked it up from my grandads ages ago, originally bought in 2002! This one has a much smaller tank :) So now I have...

    Onboard Air...

Could you use some coiled up copper pipe? I didn't even think of a cooling loop but will probably use copper (as there is a shed load at work) I also recently picked up a 'britpart' heavy duty twin pump compressor (12v) so will probably use that for testing before I get around to picking up the...

    Onboard Air...

Thanks @Gazbo. Just gone and dug it out of the barn... The tank pressure gauge is smashed so probably not working - not end of the world I guess. The pressure switch has the mains cable going in and then out again to the compressor so will take that to bits to see if it's still a viable option...

    Onboard Air...

Hi all, I'm slowly sourcing parts for an onboard air system with bits of information gathered here, there and everywhere (surprisingly hard to find an actual parts list with links to what you need etc..). I have an almost new sanden compressor from a puma a/c that i'm going to use (not got it...

Paint, powder coat or spray patriot roof rack?

I might plastidip the ladder first (from a rattle can), just to see how it goes and what the durability will be like. It will just sit there the very vast majority of time and not actually get much rigorous wear and tear. I just read that Patriot offer a lifetime warranty even if sold on...

Paint, powder coat or spray patriot roof rack?

Hi all, Managed to get a good price on a patriot roof rack and a howling moon from a friend (didn't realise it was such a good deal until I sat down and worked it all out last night). However, the roof rack and access ladder are bare naked aluminium. I think i'd prefer them to be black to...

Well, that is disappointing. I'll put this on hold for the time being. More so that I just bought a new patriot roof rack and roof tent :)

For Sale "Modified" roofrack for sale in Herts

Hi all I'm upgrading the roofrack so this one will be available in the week. No idea of make, it has a bit of surface rust but no real rot that I can see. As you can see, I chopped one side so the awning would sit in a bit and not overhang the car (anal I know). Available in north Herts, a...

I've had a look at both the LRI and the Exmoor Trim full front carpet set. LRI: £168 Exmoor: £181 So, i'll probably go down the Exmoor Trim route. £13 extra for what I imagine will be a better level of quality plus you get some nifty leather gaiters for the gear sticks :)...

Thanks all. @Mulcaster1 - what carpet set is that? Looks good, exactly what I was after, I only have one small leak at the moment (touches wood, crosses fingers...and eyes and legs). It's a little pooling under the clutch pedal after heavy heavy rain (clutch also leaks a bit too) Floor and...

Hi all, Toying with making the inside a little more 'comfortable' and 'modern'. I appreciate it's not for everybody, so no need to comment if you think it's a waste of time and that real off-roaders don't have carpet (or similar). But, more than happy to hear any technical reasons why carpet...
