What have you done to your Landie today.

One of the first things I added to the ‘to do’ list when I first got the 90 a few years back. Fit a rear door switch! Reasonably easy to do just not as simple as it should be. No cable for it behind the rear light panel, so had to run one from the roof. For those wanting to do the same, there’s...

Door alarm/light switch - what route does it take?

Thanks all. Of course it comes from above - I found it immediately after posting just not had time to come back on. :) Thank you all, will look up and down before asking next time :)

Door alarm/light switch - what route does it take?

Hi all, I was replacing the passenger side switch for a new one and dropped the cable back in to the hole. I popped a bore scope down there but can't see it, assumed it would be caught in there or resting at the bottom?!? What route does it take? Not sure where it could disappear to? Cheers

To BBUS or not to BBUS - that is the question...

Will they work in on a 2001 defender? If so, thank you - i'll buy now :)

To BBUS or not to BBUS - that is the question...

Nope, immobiliser still works as does alarm through horn when doors opened. Maybe i'll look at getting a second hand BBUS :) Although, just looked on eBay and none on there. Is there a market for these? Or will I have to buy new? Ta

To BBUS or not to BBUS - that is the question...

Let's say you were silly enough to fork out for a BBUS relocation loom, but when getting around to fitting it you realise you don't actually have a BBUS... do you; A) Buy a BBUS and retrofit (I have a nanocom) or B) Pay a little bit more and get a thatcham/Clifford style alarm fitted or C) Just...

    Premature Boostulation?

Plenty of this on the actuate sorted the problem... Can the entire assembly be stripped and maintained easily? Or shall I just periodically lube it to buggery?

    Premature Boostulation?

Did have a boost box fitted but was having problems and unplugged it during process of elimination stages. Turned out to be the MAP and I never wired the box up again. However, that was ages ago and it’s been running fine and ‘normal’ with it unplugged. I’ll wire it back up anyway

    Premature Boostulation?

Will give it a good lube. Was going to be my first port of call but work has been manic and not had time to fart let alone open my bonnet. Ta muchly

    Premature Boostulation?

Hi collective brains, My TD5 seems to be boosting earlier than normal. Casually driving to the end of my road has me in limp mode unless i'm going super slow through the gears. My style of driving hasn't changed and neither has my route to work. But, I am boosting higher (and sooner) than...

    Another Nanocom group buy?

Yep, you missed the boat by a bit on this one :) As above, you could try organising a group buy of your own (on here or one of the others forums). I have done 2 now and both times was quite a success with a fair bit of interest. If you'd like to go forward, let me know and I can send you some...

Patriot Roof Racks - SALE THIS WEEKEND

10% or 20% is better than 0%? Some will see it as a deal i'm sure. Free fitting on collection too apparently. Give them a ring, you may get more off. Other than supporting a local business, I have no connection other than having one of their roof racks - and it's a quality piece of kit.

    Onboard Air...

Ha, well I don't have lockers (yet) and rarely need to pump my tyres up. Also, I have a 12v heavy duty double pump already. So why do I want to do it? Just because I do. You can honestly say you've never over-complicated something because a) you want to test yourself a bit or b) the simple fact...

    Onboard Air...

I'll have an oil drip going in and a coalescing filter before exit

    Onboard Air...

I see what you are saying. I picked up the compressor relatively cheap and if that fails or doesn't work as expected, I also have a britpart "heavy duty" double pump that can take its place. I just like the space-saving side of this setup, plus engine is doing the work and the pump can run for...

    Onboard Air...

Thanks guys, Are you saying I got the wrong sanden compressor and that all the other people that have successfully done this with what I thought was an a/c compressor are using something else? Ta

    Onboard Air...

Damn it. Thank you :) I'll do some googling and see if I can come up with a part number or such... (holding no hope there..)

    Onboard Air...

Hi all, I've picked up the Sanden 4399 compressor. There are no pipes with it and they don't look standard. I've tried googling but nothing really coming up. What can I use to connect to the compressor? Anything 'off the shelf'? Cheers...
