    right got the waterpump tigged up, for a NOS I can say the casting was like an aero :o well done landrover,no wonder it broke :( i wont be able to do up the 4 long studs through front cover and waterpump to block to the same 27ftlbs as the other front cover bolts, does that matter?will it load...

    A mate rang to say the water pumps been welded, he said it was a ****e casting like an areo, that was a nos gen one too- no wonder it cracked he said. Pics to follow.

    they unc though right? asked a mate in engineering to see what he can find, somehow I ended up with an extra bolt ???? :p I was also gonna ask on the valley cover and the p76 carb inlet one bolthole is a cut out slot in both rather than a hole, wtf is that for? :p

    Not sure James Martin will know he had them done for me, what shall I do now, seems odd it was 3 in the middle one side and just one nearer the end the itv, maybe I am just worse casing it like I do lol- q is what's the next move. What size and thread are the bolts so I can get a tap?

    yes all torqued up, they were v hard to get started though. i put wire down the holes and they are deeper than the bolts so it makesno sense the me, you say 8.8?

    I got the sump on ok and the valley gasket but what a fecker that inlet is. bear in mind its a taller wider p76 block, we used two tubes of permetex for rear cap, front cover, sump and both sides of vally so was running short and only had there quick gasket maker left so had to be fast although...
