It's a time thing... It's my only motor so job needs to be done over a week end.... don't fancy welding on a new pan without stripping the axil

..... ment to ask... what do you recon to pay for axils ? I'm in need of a replacement casing for my RRC.... rear diff pan is rotten. Cheers

I have used the hand held (small pot on the gun) type of shot blaster...... yes they are messy, but you can knock up a wooden frame with some polythene wrapped round it and work from the front, collets the shot as well. It would do for those little brackets and the like.

May as well add my say... I've run a 200 Tdi powered RRC for over 10 years. It will happily run at 80, and will do 90 flat out (used to be 95... she is getting on a bit) I don't now how the gearing compares to the 90, but they will go if you prod them hard enough !.... get the turbo spinning and...

Started by changing a track rod end......... ended up changing both of them, 1 drag link end, two brake pipes and removing the self levelling unit, replaced it with a new ball joint and bracket. ..... one thing always leads to another !

Passed another Classic on the way home today..... he waived cheerily and flashed his lights ! ......... maybe he was breaking down ? :D

I am looking for the two heater hoses that run from the engine to bulk head for the 200 Tdi engine RRC 1993. New or second hand, or any advice on who sells them, they are no loner available from LR. Thanks. I have now obtained the hoses. In case anyone else is looking they are the same as...

Yes that's the same set up as mine.... what a ####er it was ! As has been stated, follow the procedure to the letter !
