Why not? Not mechanically proficient to mess around with alternator innards!

Well a very kind forum member came over today and plugged the truck in, not a BeCM problem. Looking like faulty alternator...do I have a THOR or GEMS engine in a 95. 4.0l? The bay is full of variations and I can't see any markings or numbers on the thing!..

Correct part number and was CE marked

Mines a 95 and it works on that, don't know about the changeover I'm afraid

I also now seem to have a little book emblem on the heater display....

Key code lockout lasts for about 20-30 minutes and then should clear if you leave the truck alone. You then have to enter the key code which you hopefully have either on a small sticker in the glove box or thoughtfully written in your handbook by a previous owner? Put the key into the door...

There is no way I can see the light, it's that dim.........
