Sounds like a split boost hose. Check all the hoses after the turbo for splits, bearing in mind that some may not be obvious. Most common site is the elbow before the EGR valve. Alternatively, get someone to rev the engine until it hisses, then the leak should make itself known.

Not quite sure how a leaky crankcase seal would cause the pedal to stick, but while they were in there they could have changed the clutch slave cylinder. Might be time for a decent independent to look at it.
