The acoustic cover is off and air intake assembly as well. There is one bolt which is also holding a tie rod. The other seems to be in the bowels of the engine with very little access. The car is LHD. Does this make a difference? The other problem is a big rubber pipe which goes over the starter...
Hi. Just been checking threads to find out how to remove an L series starter motor from a Freelander 1 diesel. Nothing! They are all about the TD4!
Does anyone have a link to a video tutorial? YouTube is the same!
I need to replace a part on the hp fuel pump but need a special 3 sided socket. Does anyone know where I can get this? It's on the side with the fuel lines. Tia!
I took the top two parts off and changed the seals. While the pump was still in the car. It was easy and took only an hour. Next time I'll seek advice from a brick! Thanks lads!!
Hi guys! Been a while since I wrote on this site but now I have a little problem with my F1 diesel Landy. I need to replace the gaskets on the high pressure pump and have been trying to find a video on how to do it. Hopefully I can do it in situ! Can anyone share a link? I've checked on YouTube...
According to the Haynes manual, " The action of the solenoid valves and return pump creates pulses in the hydraulic circuit. When the ABS is functioning, these pulses can be felt through the brake pedal" This is what I get, especially when turning.
I'm getting the same thing in reverse on full lock. I bought the car a year ago and it looks like the viscous unit has been changed as well as the rear drive shaft. How long ago is anyone's guess because in Spain parts always look newish!
Thinking about it, if this only happens on rough terrain then it must be the sensor! I have no problems when the 4 wheel drive kicks in even over rocks!
Thanks for the feedback. The times it's happened, it doesn't kick back. Only if I turn off the engine, then it resets.
First I'm going to change the sensor and at the same time check the ring. This means that the drive shaft has to come out, yes?
Yes. It must be the ABS modulator (behind the right headlight with brake lines coming out). The first time it happened was about 6 months ago. I was turning out of a side road and hit a pothole. The modulator went crazy, buzzing continuously. It felt that the brake pedal had broken so just...
