No worries mines back on axle stands still waiting for rear prop. had one made as v8 lt85 90 has oddball rear prop. Then i can get on with bedding in my brakes again

Drums normally have more stopping power than discs as there is more surface area. They just fade earlier.

Ive fitted ebc utramax or whatever they are called they seem a improvement over what i had before. I know brake compounds make a huge diffrence to brake performance from my track car. Fitted some crap pads to my transit once and you could not stop the thing it was terrible. Now i always use ford...

I have now replaced the rear drums and got it all adjusted up and brakes are alot better. So on wards now with the transfer box replacement again:( and new rear prop:).

Caqn you drop a gearbox down without an angine crane?

i used a crane. but only removed gear stick gater and seatbox center lifted it back up through gear stick hole. but that was lt85 with no transfer box attached.

    LED Headlamps

Ive got quadoptics wipac h4 conversations replaced useless original connectors for lamps and used night breakers. Excellant lights very happy.

They did offer 7.50 tyres on 90 i think they a roughly same size as 265/70 r16. But is all old fashion to modern brakes i suppose. My drums are all new, cylinders shoes springs etc so should be ok. Every thing is free. The "egg" rear drum didnt help.

I thought about fitting 110 calipers and swaping rear axle for a disc brake one. But wanted to keep it all original. But if the original 90 brakes dont improve it might be a good idea to change calipers. Its got good quality pads and shoes fitted at mo. But ill get it back together and get some...

    Heavy steering

What i found is the steering column is really stiff now i have disconnected the uj's. So its bearing or bushes in column. Anyone stripped one down? Might try and get some oil in there.
