P38A Getting in to a locked, dead car

I have seen the bonnet opened on one in the same situation using a metal rod poked up from underneat and lots of poking around, took a while but can be done it seems. Failing that jack up under front somewhere to give some clearance to get in, use sone axle stands of some sort though first...

Did like the step. Anyone want to take a guess what this is, it came out my gearbox when i changed oil. Dosent look like it has sheared/broken at all all sides are machined. Some kind of key? All seems to work ok without it. Nice and smooth now i have changed oil too.

    AT or MT?

Switching to the 235 i was able to wind the steering stops in a bit, it has made enough difference that im not constantly doing 3 point turns. Had to do a propper emergency stop other day on wet road, i was amazed how well it stopped and didnt break grip even a little.

    AT or MT?

I know this is an age old argument and always stirs up opinions but i am very glad i went for a thinner tyre (235 from the original 265). Worked out a fair bit cheaper and so far seems better in every way. No noticeable drop in road holding and much much better in mud. I have also heard many...

    AT or MT?

Untill last week i had AT grabbers 265 70 16on my pickup, was unsure what to go for next sane as you. I brought some second hand cooper discoverer MT to try in 235 85 16. Best thing i ever did. No noticable negetives just a very slight drop in mpg, althougj this could be caused by driving faster...

Just curious guys, any reason cb's are more popular than hand held pmr type radios, they are so good these days. Is it a range/ receptipn thing or just tradition to use cb.

Just had a look at the map, not sure where we will end up but chances are i will be heading back in the general direction of the cafe on way home anyway so cant see it being an issue to drop you back to your car.

p38 electric gremlins.. help please :)

Had similar issue with mine when it was damp. Most issues were sorted out by cleaning ground connections on the electrical system and fitting a new battery. These vehicle's dont like low voltages and they have a very high drain even when parked up. I have a current issue with the ecu suddenly...

Need more light..... don’t we all?

www.hughesguides.com Alot of good info can be found here, it does require a subscription/payment but may be of interest to someone who wants detailed info on anything regarding traffic/vehicle regs etc. I have found it very valuable not just for vehicle related things. It was recomended to me...

Need more light..... don’t we all?

Another vote for the led bars shown in earlier posts, i have driven vehicles with them fitted and its like driving in daylight. Best mounted in front not on roof. Loads of model's to choose from so you will find one that fits your needs. Its not that the mountain or the woods make them dim, op...
