They should be fuel cut off solenoids though, surely?

That doesn't sound right - there should only be a relay under the driver's footwell panel. There is a load control relay somewhere but you know that's working if you've got 12v to the injectors on the brown/orange wire

Its unlikely that all 8 have failed. Check continuity back to the ecu and if thats good check the trigger pickup on the distributor.

Economy and how it can be improved

Yeah the valley gasket is a weird idea. Thinking about it I should have made an aluminium plate to fill the void whilst I had mine apart.... That's how Chevy do it...

Keep it. £4k is just a figure, albeit a big one. Your Landy is a gateway to memories.

I can't see how the coil would be connected to the injectors. What was causing the FP to not work? If you're getting pressure but no injection, are you getting a 12v feed to the injectors?

Me too, but we have to show the dirty diesel buggers that v8s can wade!... maybe we need a couple of others ready to pull us out should the worst happen though....

Economy and how it can be improved

It's not slow now... mind you I haven't really opened the taps up yet - what with it being essentially a brand new engine :S Economy seems better too - normally I'd run out at 60 miles on the dinky petrol tank I have but it's still showing 1/3 of a tank left.... Did you ever do your running...

    95 disco 3.9 v8 lpg no start

Should be. If not check that the rotor arm approximately lines up with #1 plug lead at tdc on compression. The gas system willneed to interrupt the signal to the injectors so that it can cut petrol when running on gas and also convince the ECU that it is still running on petrol when it's on...

    95 disco 3.9 v8 lpg no start

The Stepper motor just controls gas flow at larger throttle openings, don't worry about it for now. Do you have a spark? If so can you attack a timing light to #1 lead and find out when it's sparking? If it is sparking well and at the right time then you need to look at fuel. Unplug the...

Economy and how it can be improved

As part of increasing economy, I wanted to reduce inefficiency and I really do dislike single coil and distributor setups - they provide low spark energy, require maintenance and are susceptible to damp thereby causing misfires and wasting fuel. So.... Ooh where did that go? Ah there...
