You see they did use the L series in the MB Honda Civic saloons and aerodecks but its akin to the old 400 sdi setup over the 45 setup etc, and it's a rare bus here in the UK so that's likely what he's thinking of he has no experience of Rover's but I find thst hard to believe .

I had this issue with my 40mm lift. Had been supplied wrong shaft which fitted fine without lift but with lift kept pulling out.

There are Infact 6 diameter exhaust systems on the 1.8, 1.8t, and kv6 range in these cars (there's the 2.0 v5 2.5 160 2.5 177 and 2.5 180/190) ranging from 48mm internal to 57mm internal.

Agreed. Again circa rover 75 seing the converters fail around 170k but weirdly most are dropping off around the 15 year mark now, it's a weekly occurance on the Facebook pages when people think it's just solinoid failure etc and are disappointed afterwards. Ive done a few torque converter swaps...

Oh and I nearly forgot about this....... Plan to find brackets, paint it black and maybe some fog lights or a light bar. Did rear brakes yesterday also, boy they where beyond done. All nice and new and even a handbrake cable swap done. Just 2 cv clips and mot ready now.

Thanks folks appreciate the comments. Plans are some subtle light upgrades, a winch and potentially a mini compressor for tyre pressures off road over a cog lighter powered one.

Single mass on a td4 is a very bad idea, you will be looking at a snapped crank in time. Plenty of examples on owners forums of it. The crank is cast, not forged making it far far more brittle, and with the dual mass adding significant to the dampening to the crank loads of torque it goes...

Classic case of injector number 1 wiring being worn or dirty on the plug going to pump. Some contact cleaner and check the wire has no breaks in it. Also, try taping the fuel pump solinoid area with a hammer if its running rough after, if it suddenly starts playing ball thats the easiest way...

As someone who's owned both v6 190 zt's and 1.8t versions, a mapped 1.8t is lighter, quicker and faster than a 190, the only real benefit is the sound lol.
