    Sitec's Cummins powered 101!

After deciding against attempting to drive it home (trusted my instincts and boy am I glad I did), as the fuel tank was leaking, along with the swivel seals, the engine had a head gasket blown, as well as being fairly knackered etc etc etc, I settled on vehicle transport. Several weeks later and...

    Sitec's Cummins powered 101!

Hello all!!! Well, there's now a section for 101's, so I thought I'd start the ball rolling with mine... Having owned one in the UK, and loved it, I find the need to own another!!! So, having found the 'go to guy' who has 101's in Melbourne, I went to view the three he had. The choice was a 24v...

    101's and Forward control variations.

Back again for another friendly hint... We have quite a few UK 101 owners joining us on the forum down under..... Mine is back on the road now powered by the Cummins.... and its a lot of fun coming up behind a late Fourby that's doing 100kph and being able to pull out and blast past it in a 1976...

Well, my 101 is on the road in OZ, and the looks Im getting are just hilarious! I'll be staring the diesel conversion soon, but still have no where to place it here as a thread... Here's a pic after I'd been and paid the rego and done the pits etc! So, who's the 'main man' on here to pester? ;)...

    101's and Forward control variations.

Here's my old 101... Powered by a 5.7 Nissan FD6, it used to boogy.. This one ended up in Bristol somewhere.... where it lost the big diesel and most of its roof.... Prob not everyone's cup of tea, but I loved it! That's why I have another that's getting an even more ridiculous engine.

Well, my old red 101 and this new one will be far from military.. The 'group' down under are 50/50 military and civi.. A lot here are set up as tourers that can 'get places'! :)

Hello Moderators! Any more thoughts re a 101's and other FC's section? I'm planning to start a project/build thread on the build of my Cummins powered 101, and am not exactly sure where to place it....... Cheers for now. Simon.

Doing the impossble? Cummins 6BT into a 90!

Thanks for that pressbrake! Was just talking about this on Bookface with Nick and Ash. Obviously didn't look that hard at my sump, but could have sworn it'd only fit one way! Will pick up a 'pick up' pipe. Re build thread, yeah, I should start one. Once I've collected the bits and make a...

Doing the impossble? Cummins 6BT into a 90!

Looks pretty tidy! I've got to source a sump with the well at the rear and pick up to suit or mod mine. Have also found a four bolt fan hub on fleabay that bolts on the front of the head.. Here's the 101 that its going into! The things we do eh!!

Doing the impossble? Cummins 6BT into a 90!

Yeah, plan too.. Fitted a Nissan FD6 to my old 101 and got the rear of the box 100mm lower and 150mm further back. Cured the front prop drone too! Cheers.

Doing the impossble? Cummins 6BT into a 90!

Here's a pic of the plate... Hole drilling time. Have gone with a piece of 25mm which now has a large hole in the middle of it to allow the ZF output housing to protrude. This will be shaved so the seal face ends up flush with the new plate. I'm having to close couple the LT230 as room is an issue!

Doing the impossble? Cummins 6BT into a 90!

Well, the conversion into the 101 is under way! Holding you and the BPO totally responsible for this Steig's!! As the engine sits further back in the 101, the rear prop is going to be really short! It's caused a bit of interest on the AULRO forum for sure! Think I've got my head around the...

Wanted! My old 101 bumper! Bristol Area!

Well. The red 101 in my pic had a 5.7 litre Nissan FD6 in it, and that went well, then I moved over here... Ran the 130 for a bit, and then got talking to the boys on AULRO about 101's.... That was the start of the slippery slope.. It was at about this time that I spotted Nick Steggel's purple...

    Waste of a good vehicle.

I'm with Redhand. Daft to crush a perfectly good vehicle.. Yeah, I hear u about laws, theft, rules, rah rah rah rah.... The whole world is full of rules... so lets say it is stolen.... Smash it up and get scrap value for it, or sell it on and get the $100000 previously mentioned and funnel that...
