Wow you all have a long time to wait - just over 3 weeks for me!. The alternative is to go to Ceuta - a bit cheaper and a fast ferry - though the border crossing is less organised to put it mildly.

Apparently after gearbox was refitted two rubber washers were missing of the bolt on the diff lock lever leaving it to wobble too much - now need to take inside apart to get to it all.

Just had a look - lever underneath moves in and out ok as far as I can see quite freely but wheel raised again shows diff lock still on!.

Thanks for the reply and will try that - do you think that there is a good chance that lubricating the levers could solve the problem and do you think this could have been caused by dropping the gearbox to replace the clutch fork.

Must admit to having done about 60,000 miles with over half of that on tracks or no tracks in North Africa and have experienced virtually no problems with a 300tdi 110 with a basic set up. Yours set up does however seem impressive!. Also must admit that I have ordered parts for various Land...

As mentioned earlier diff lock light is staying on - I lifted one front wheel and moved diff lock lever to both left and right and in both cases wheel only turned a little and I had it out of gear - so diff lock must be on all the time - I tried reversing and driving on the grass with two wheels...

Ok got a problem with my diff light - needed to change the clutch fork in Morocco and the local mechanic fixed it but the diff light remained on (when I got back here also found he had left off several bolts on the gearbox) - he messed about underneath and got the diff light to go out but it...

Fairly easy - see on youtube how to make up an Anderson plug for landrover. The water tank sits underneath the rear LH wheel arch and is a bit tricky with my fitted interior so getting my ever helpful mechanic to do it.

Just got my Anderson plug for the compressor saves going into the battery box. Also got a rear wheel arch water tank to fit.

Must admit I am a bit lost by all this - all I want to do is use the Anderson plug to pump up tyres with a cheap compressor and make it more convenient - just a bit worried that the cable to the compressor is not as thick as the one from the Anderson plug to the battery.

Sorry didn't explain myself very well - I have a cheap compressor with croc clips - the idea was to make it easier to pump tyres up.

Not sure myself - purchase invoice says 0.5x25mm red/blk red 175 2/08 ring terms

Doh idiot I am. Do we just take the croc clips off and fit the Anderson connector - do my jump leads need to be a certain size as my leads are not as beefy as those attached to the red Anderson plug
