Hi mate Have you looked at the ignition wires (behind the steering binnacle) and see if all is looking ok. It just sounds like there mite be a loose/dry contact or the multi plug might be loose or burnt. Hope this helps....

Ok thanks mate but when i turn the key the lights do not dull it looks like the gear box fault is stopping it from turning the starting motor.
