Thanks I did see that tool on e bay yesterday and messaged them asking if they would confirm it’s suitable and they replied a little while ago that it was so I’ll order it .

I could but it’s a PITA ,I can find the Crank pulley holding tool LRT 12 080 which LR suggest useing but it lists its suitable for the 200,300 and some other models I’m just trying to check I’m looking at the right thing .

Hi I am going to replace the cam on my P38 4.6 1999 in the near future, would any of you know if Landrover crank pulley holding tool number LR 12-80 which the manual recommends also fits the 200 and 300 Diesel engines ?.

I have ordered an ARP head stud set plus a set of stainless studs and nuts for the exhaust manifolds perhaps I was doing this wrongly but I found fitting the drivers side exhaust manifold the worst part of the job .I reset the adaptive values yesterday and it appears to be doing a few miles...

Sorry guys been busy on the car ,it’s all done we just took the dogs out in it glad to have it back .I didn’t change the cam there wasn’t a mark on the existing cam or the hydraulic tappets and Jackie was desperate for the car back as she uses it for the dogs (they are a pain to get in her car )...
