Yes, spacers should stop any rubbing. My truck runs 235/85s and it doesn't rub w/ 30mm spacers, and I figured out that there should be room for 265s.

What year? Mines a 200 series 1994 and I can start mine up with doors open. With the lock my passenger door does something like that. It's broken :( So dunno about yours, but it would appear something may not be right, but then again, I may be comparing an early one to a later model one.

He asked for sensible mods, I gave him sensible mods. Dog guards are good for holding things back during off roading and are good in a crash (of course, you don't plan for one!) and snorkels are a nice to have thing. I'd much rather have a snorkel than be stuck without one.
