I have indeed, no sign of leak, and for a metal pipe it would be pretty obvious, only one bit of rubber in the hydraulic system and it didn't look perished at all.

mmm ok, did notice the fluid that came out was slightly silverl, like it metal swarf in it. bit odd I thought.

Had an argument with a wall today. Now got a new dent in my wing :( and hit a bin, span in the road. Very interesting occasion. Still. Better the wall then the car that did an emergency stop because they were gonna miss their turning in front of me ! :)

Fitted my new expansion unit and new shoes for my handbrake. All fitted nicely but doesn't work yet. It's adjusted correctly, but when I pull the handbrake it doesn't pull the engage. So I've done something wrong with the expander bit. Have to take it all off again another day and have a fiddle :/

Ooo yaaa tis a bit far :/ had I have known. I could have picked an arc welder up from aldi for 40 squid. I want to get one anyway so maybe I shall leave it till after Christmas when the big expense has gone. And get my self an eBay or auction mig jobbie :) cheers though. Been very helpful!

No I'm not the bloody stupid fooking thing. Went and bought a blow torch and everything! It looks like that is the next option. Need to find a mig welder I suppose. :/ other 3 were absolutely fine. Did notice there was a bit of oxidation around the injector so maybe water has caused a problem...

tied to get my broken glow plug out with one of those screw extractor bits, got the blow torch on it to heat it up but only went an snapped the bit in the hole. so ive made it worse now :( poo

Yaa I found those parts. They are on order! Tis a pain. I was very excited about having a handbrake that comes on only when I tell it too :) Never mind. Shall have to pick another warming day when I have the parts. Just want to sort my final glow plug now

wait.... i think i have sussed it, ive lost two clips that go on the back of the unit. dam

Currently fitting new hand break shoes and new expander unit. im a little puzzled though, does anyone know if the expander unit is supposed to sit flush to the back of the drum, ie. it stays tight against the drum and the whole unit doesnt move back and forth. Little hard to explain but i think...

ahh I see! Okay, I shall order some and give them a go as a first cheep option, then I could try the welder if I can find one I guess, if I haven't destroyed the tip in the mean time :/ Then I suppose my last option is the head off :( lots of heat and those bits should hopefully do it though...

As for the welding option, I have heard of this before, but I don't have a welder available to me so would be difficult :/
