be easyer to replace the glass, but wait till you are nearly done on it, the retaining strips are only screwed in, they are cheap enough.

no, they arnt that hard if you can get hold of a bit of pipe. Aparently there are very few genuine mil ones around (like yours) as they were left to rot due to the water.
