    I Think charllesy has got his wires crossed, lucas never made an injection pump as far as i am aware , to over haul an injection pump is a speslist job and you need a bit of kit to set it up that costs many thousands of pounds, a lift pump is a doddle to clean but it is not an injector pump

    on the nitro thing years ago you used to get water injectors for cars, these would give more power and very smoth running, what about using hydrogen-peroxide? this should give all the same things as water but with added oxy, should go like buggery!

    yes it will hit the piston, remove the rocker cover find the valve by checking the tappit clerance, if the valve spring is broken (unlikely) remove head and replace, if the vave has rusted through sitting then use deisel on it and lever under the spring cap until it is free

    yes i think this may be the way to go, a land series rover dif without the crown wheel and pinoin is not that big, its avalible anywhere and locker kits are easy, a new case would have to be made, the outher way seems to be an electric clutch, these are avalible have yet to sus them out

    if its slurping it sounds more like its drawing air, check fuel bowl rubber, where the glass meets the top if not remove and strip the pump, could be a dirty valve, thr solinoid on the carb should have a 12v ing controld feed, this can come from the coil
