the brakes can be a complete **** to bleed, you have to have all the adjusters all the way off, then clamp up the other hoses and bleed one at a time, then readjust

the pump has a window in the side, remover the cover plate and use a mirror to see the timing marks, these are set when the pump is made or overhauld, if the marks are a long whey out then move the timing gear a bit at a time, you may have to remove the sump to move the oil pump,

check your wheel nuts are tight, this or a cract wheel will cause a creak

all will work ok apart from the ammeter, just revers the wires, starter, fuel gauge heater ect will be fine

take the four bolts of the top of the injector pump, you will need to remove the bracket on top first, under the cover you will find a roter with sliding blades, i expect they will be stuck in, clean and replace them,top back on, then crank the engine with one injector pipe lose until fule comes...

Hi, The big hole is a "hot spot" and is used to help vaperize the fuel, you could make up a plate to close it off, but it will not run well. your best to get the proper weber carb that was a direct replacement and forget about a twin choke.
