Thanks everyone, never thought of that but they are just windmilling off the viscous fan until the a/c goes on . Only got to sort that oil temp sensor now ,oh and the clonking into reverse and......:)

Just a quick Question, my 94 3.9 auto has a viscous fan for the rad but I also notice it has two elec fans on the outer face of the rad to. I notice they seem to run along with the viscous fan but really speed up when I use A/C. What are they for ? non of my older rangies had these..are they...

Hi, What can anybody tell me about this sensor ? Its on a 94 3.9 auto se. Is it just for the t/box or the actual auto box ?. The reason I ask is having recently purchased the car I noticed this light flickering then going off completely, but today has come on from cold so surely a dodgy sensor...

Thanks everyone, Had a look today and seems when left in park with the hand brake off,whilst getting some one to rock the car you can physically see back lash on the rear prop, so possibly worn prop splines ? Also nice to see a few locals on here ! bobpm45 & wil2813.

Just brought a 94 3.9 auto se, the car drives great but when shifting from d to r theres a fair bit of backlash. Seems to be in the rear prop but could it be the chain in the transfer box ??. Is there anything I can do to diagnose where its coming from. If it turns out to be the t/box how hard...

Just thought I'd say hello after buying my sixth landy, five of them been rangeys the other a 200 disco.Anyway this latest one is a 94 soft dash 3.9 auto se with a coil spring conversion.Beautiful in all respects but not with out its fair share of probs ! Dan.
