if you can get it out of the f/l then the only option is to open up the changer and there will be a release button on the body , may have a small round disc over it to stop dust etc . if the magazine wasn't full then this is why it jams. my alpine manwell says that the changer must be fully...

i might be wrong , but if you go can get hold of a remote from a scrapper rover , the 2 button type, you might be able to code that keyfob to your disco. im sure ive seen a thred on here on how to code it. im on nights tonight so il have a look and post it mick

Yep this works great..... i had this problem about 3 months ago, all of a sudden coming upto a set of lights, dipped the clutch to coast upto to them, revs went upto about 3000 rpm, and stuck.... managed to get it to my mate a kwik fit , and did more or less what you described.. best £5.00 or so...

its linked to the ecu and to the car..... the keyfob regardless of wether you set the alarm or not has a chip inside called a transponder if you don't have the alarm fob on you keyring the car will not start.. try it.... around the key ign, theres the reciver witch picks up the signal...
