Decided to take the rock sliders off and see how bad the cills were. Not too bad was the answer, so I’ll patch the 2 bits at the back that’ll need doing. Then I’ll underseal them and refit the sliders. then I thought I’d have a pick about on the boot floor as I’d seen some ‘interesting’ bits...

First thing first, the passenger side swivel bearing was no longer attached and the metal brake pipe was leaking. Although, it had been patched with electrical tape and a zip tie!

How do... I’ve been away for a fair old time, but now I’m back!! I got drunk the other night and ended up buying a knackered old D1... I managed to get a transporter to collect it, so now I’ll set about fixing it.

Morning. I've got a 6 spot light-bar in my garage for my D1. I was wondering if people have used LED spots on their light bars, and if so, which ones? Is there much difference between LED's and 'normal' spot-lights? Do you wire them up in the same way? Cheers boys and girls!

Bloody landrovers! Windscreen was leaking meaning every time it rained I got a wet arse. Solved that with judicious use of silicon! Bought some cheap mud tyres off of a bloke on Facebook. Thought they looked a little large. Went to get them fitted, and they wouldn't even fit in the arches...

TBF it wasn't a difficult job, just time consuming. I worked out that without the cutting and cleaning there was about 20 hours actual welding involved... I've a load of Discovery bits in my garage, so once the shooting season is finished, she'll get a 2" lift and all the other bits...

Not a great welder (only learned how to do it this year, and this is my biggest project so far). Not brave either! Just a bit stupid!! I actually bought the full inner and outer sill repair panels, well worth doing. They come with the body mounts and everything.
