    Mine did similar noise on RH full lock, so naturaly thought cv's. took them apart nothing!!.Now i don't know why, but it turned out to be play on the front end of the F radius arm bushes .

    gear noise

    I had same or simlar noise from my 200 on the over run though, it turned out to be the taper bearing on the main shaft gear, you know the one with[ holes/or with out] if early badly pitted, take PTO cover of have look/se dos'nt take long.

    NGK or NIPONDENSO have a large selection, firstly try to get hold/borow one of their catalogs i woul'd stick to their recomandations of s plug for your motor than try harder or softer plug as is needet for lpg

    Surely if its turbo ratle you can elimenate it from the rest of the engine noise even if you touch a screw driver on it and your ear at the other end of the driver its even easier if its a defender engine with the turbo high up, just a thohgt does it rattle at idle with the cluch down? culd it...

    Drain the sump se how much oil you have 6.8 lt is the quantity at oil +filter change, naturaly don't expect to drain that amount but all expect 4lt in it if it was a drinker fingers crossed, now another prob might have been your dipstick tube loose/slideing down in to the sump and geivng you...

    200 TDI Defo timing belt fited. Exept the slim but possible chance of it having ZEUS Timing gears, W rear, anyway timing belts brake/snap not ratlle.

    Well next moove i'll gues is to try the UJ's , and/or even take the PTO cover to look at the g box main shaft splines, ps while at the A frame did you check for any moovement on the bush end.

    Naah bolt on job, especialy if you buy it with it's base complete, but try see if it's got any play in it first though.
