L322 Wheel bearing or something else

That’s why we started with passenger side as the noise is when turning right so weight transfer to left, no change. We’ve not ruled out driveshafts but obviously start cheapest, but the feel nice, solid and tight no clicks, clunks or bangs. Doesn’t sound like a diff as it’s only when turning and...

L322 Wheel bearing or something else

Could you hear yours through the car or able to say front or rear? Mine definitely sounds front but sometimes it’s hard to pinpoint, iv asked the other half who’s reply was “I can’t hear anything “ 🙄.

L322 Wheel bearing or something else

Hi everybody, having a bit of a issue with my l322, had for the past couple of thousand miles what sounds like a wheel bearing noise (at first we thought tyres but have rotated them with no change), slightly when going straight but most when turning right, especially on quicker roads say 40mph...

    L322 L322 '03; Completely new to Landy's, so a couple of questions

Wheel nuts are 22, sometimes 23 if the chrome caps have corroded they expand, iv always just put full new nut set on then you know it’s all 22mm. Sticky key sounds like ignition barrel, common issue on the pre 07 with the key down on centre console but still can happen on later, normally muck...

What did you do with your Range Rover today

Did my drivers side lower arm (the bent/ twisted one) on my 4.2sc, also ball Joint, did the passenger side a while ago and was a pain but not to bad, this side though, one bolt came out other rounded - stupid torx, then after getting it moving with chisel got that out, ball joint wouldn’t budge...

    L322 issues

Also if I recall the brake switches have two contacts, one direct to brake lights and another for ecus, my x5 had bad switch and even though brake lights worked the ecu contact had failed.

    L322 issues

Surprising what happens, probably because all systems talk to each other so dodgy signal from one sends the rest into meltdown. Goes to show though why sometimes it looks bad but really dodgy sensor or like you say switch.

What did you do with your Range Rover today

Had that argument with my insurance, they said “oh it’s a Range Rover they get stolen” I said yeah but that’s the l405s, another insurer said “does it have keyless” I said no it’s 2006 so needs a key there reply “ok no probs as we’re not insuring any with keyless”

    L322 issues

Also right that some faults take suspension out, when I had a faulty abs sensor it took ABS system, HDC (that uses abs so understandable) suspension locked in place, I’d also dropped a bit but not to bump stops but when stopped and restarted the fault cleared for a few hundred yards and...

    L322 issues

Easier than pulling fuses then if it’s just a lever. Definitely on earlier l322s is a fuse that’s pulled.

    Range rover nightmare.

Again if rest of the car is good, do a full brake rebuild, parts like discs and calipers, pads, brake pipe isn’t expensive and if you can do the work yourself it will save a lot, check rear brake back plates as they hold shoes in place for rear handbrake drum assembly (rear is a hybrid set up...

    Range rover nightmare.

Depends on where the OP is based. It’s not something done in U.K., just a visual check to see if any warning lamps are on and even then it’s not all of them, think it’s engine, brakes etc. important stuff.

    Range rover nightmare.

Go ahead with a egr delete kit that also bypasses the cooler, this should help there. Don’t worry about warning lights as on the m57 of that age there vacuum operated not electric, it does have a fault code for egr vacuum if you hook up a scanner but it doesn’t bring a warning light on (previous...

    L322 issues

Would have to look at your manual but there is a fuse you can pull to put the transfer box in neutral. Maby do that- will mean loss of drive as it’s there as a feature so you can tow it unlike most 4x4s. But pull fuse and see if it goes into neutral then replace it see if it wakes up. If not I’d...

L322 Leaking water in rear pillar

Both my l322 have had leaks, first was sealant under roof strips that had a hairline crack, clean it up, no need to try and remove it, a good sealant, sikaflex, sticks like sh*t and few others are fine, bead of that down both sides cured it. Current l322 had a leak, where the top of the boot...

    Help! Stop Oil Engine Press!

I’m guessing sensor, had a x5 with same M57 and over my ownership it popped up twice, oil was fine, after second time I changed sensor and it was fine after.

What did you do with your Range Rover today

Don’t know if it’s both 3.6 and 4.4 but 3.6s are known for cracked inlet manifolds. Mechanic I know has done quite a few on 3.6s.
