I thought the 300tdi would be okay too - some photos on google show a skinny prop but do not say where from... Could do a bit of sump bashing but the prop actually touches the corner of where the engine mount strengthening joins the engine bellhousing area. An extra thin prop from a specialist...

Yes, all correct although the crankshaft pulley bolt is off centre with the hole in the cross member.

Yes, that's what I've checked - spirit level on the chassis then on the rocker cover but was waiting for someone to say ah or but !! If this is correct then I'll go with the top of the front pulley level with the top of the front cross member.

Not welded in yet but Steve Parker brackets with the original 300tdi rubber mounts - R380 gearbox adapted to the series transfer case.
