What he said :rolleyes: That aside, I went the whole of last winter in high range 2wd apart from the odd occasion when someone needed a tow, or the gradient got a bit steep. As long as you drive sensibly and keep gentle momentum when it gets icy theres not much a series won't do :)

I had a similar problem to what you've described when I first bought my 2a. It turned out to be the clutch release bearing being sticky on the shaft after being stood for a few months, so you might want to just check that. Hope this helps SeriesJay

Yes the speedo is fine, and doesn't fluctuate much at all which is always a bonus.

Yeah I did wonder, but my dad checked it too. I must add I have a Zenith carb and 7.50 R16 Lorry tires on the back, which make a very noticable difference.
