Hey all, Ive got a marsland defender 90 chassis and am having trouble fitting the a-frame. The marsland chassis has the brackets welded on, so you need to fit the bushes on the vehicle. Anybody got any tips on how to get both bushes into the brackets at the same time! I need 8 arms lol.

Dinitrol ml3125 for inside chassis and bulkhead. 4941 for exterior chassis 445 for inside arches. You will need a air compressor and gun. Get it steam cleaned first.

Nobody has mentioned yet that painting his chassis is going to be a tad more difficult than getting some cavity wax on there! Huge diff between waxoyl/dynax/dinitrol and paint! I'd go for dinitrrol myself.

get a blue sea one. great bits of kit and run up to 350a continuous. about £20 iirc.

Border Motorsport makes something like that for bolting to a std cross member. Got some on mine.

I doubt that. RC900 is a rust converter and primer which you can then topcoat. I used it for prepping landie bits prior to spraying. You use ML3125 for any box sections. It comes out like a fine mist which wont be thick enough to stick on external faces. Use the 4941 for exterior box...

I use a marine bluesea one. Works great. I believe its 350a continuous which is plenty. I struggled to find a 500a continuous switch and the size of wiring required was massive; and bigger than the wire supplied with the winch! Remember that the winch will only be pulling its rated load when...

just drop the hammerite in the bin, its absolute crap. I had all the same problems topcoating on red oxide. The red oxide wont come off, but the hammerite wasnt worth even applying. will never use again!

Ive been using dinitrol a few years now, and its better than the waxoyl stuff. Im doing my own galv chassis rebuild at the moment and will be using the below products on it once its built up. I put some on the 90 a couple of years ago and its still holding up nicely, and even better in the box...

Isn't the problem with por15 though that the component has to be manky/rusty otherwise it won't stick? If I'm taking it off I like to wire brush it and rustconvert lol

+1 Hammerite is complete ****e. I've found priming with automotive primer (red oxide type) and then spraying with black works best. Nothing lasts that long, so once its done blast it with dinitrol as a top coat. Before anybody mentions it, I know it isn't red lead but whatever it is it works.

good news. think you should consider pretty much anything other than hammerite. its pants. same goes for waxoyl. try dinitrol or dynax.
