I am right in thinking there is some sort of transponder to knock off the immobilizer in the key as well, that also needs programming to the system and the fob just opens the doors and disarms the alarm ?

Yes that is the idea as if it needs to go on diagnostics i would have to get a recovery truck etc + find someone who as the right diagnostics. Was hoping i could source the lock set fuel cap lock, door lock, ignition lock barrel and the key with remote, if i sourced these parts would it then be...
