Fitted the new carb this evening and messed around with it for severak hours, to no avail. Doesnt seem to solve the problem how ever I adjust it. Anything else I should check, and I'll crack on with it tommorrow. Thanks for the help

Had alot of troubles getting it up and running again,, eventually got there in the end and swapped the old distributor for an electronic one,with sports coil,re-gapped plugs, did valve clearances and she now runs as sweet as ever, although still over heats. The over heating just happed straight...

I haven't tested with a thermometer mate,, but just by touch the radiator gets hellish hot. The carb is a 34ICH Webber, I seem to have cured that problem mind,,as I took top off carb and just give everything a good clean.

Cleaned the gauze filter, then removed top of carb and cleaned out,, found there to be quite alot of grit/dirt inside bottom of carb.Anyway fitted all back together and the problem looks to be solved as it doesnt go to stall when hitting accelerator like before,although the over heating problem...

Refitted vacuum pipe and set timing using a strobe this afternoon, now it does seem a little better but but not as responsive as before when pressing the accelerator pedal in,,,sort of sputters a little bit then revs. Also re-did all valve clearances and she ticks over better than ever, although...
