What did you do with your Range Rover today

Regassed the air con - used the stuff Ruberknees linked to a few pages back but also did some stop leak. There’s definitely a leak that Halfords can’t find on their machine, nor can a local garage I trust when filled with dye. Hopefully this seals..

There’s a definite click from there but there is certainly a squeak!

Well while I was giving everything a good old spray of GT85 to try and eliminate this squeak, I dropped the bench seat back down and… SQUEAK! Video clicky It’s the sodding head rest!

Thought it had solved it on the way in as no squeak. The way home? Yup, still there, certainly hasn’t made it worse though. Gave it a closer listen on the way back, and the clarity of the squeak may well suggest it’s coming from the cabin. I’m going to get some GT85 in the rear seat linkages...

Just checked the parcel shelf clips on the passenger side (where I suspect the noise is coming from) and the little bit of foam tape on each tab had disintegrated and wasn’t doing much so I’ve squeezed some mastic tape in there to see if it helps. Fingers crossed! Thank you for all the help!

I’ll double check them then. The parcel shelf is regularly removed and seats folded as I carry an MTB in the back so may have knocked it. 38r, 30f. I am running slightly larger than stock tyres, think that could be a factor?

As in the cover for the sub/cd changed bit?

Just a few things then. Trailing arm bushes are already on the to-do list. I’ll throw in exhaust mounts as well then! Thank you!

What did you do with your Range Rover today

Less what I did with the P38.. more what it’s done to itself. Won’t go into low range anymore. Last used it over the Easter weekend, then I’ve just been commuting since with it. Thought I’d take a greenlane home today and it just beeps at me.. great 👍

So while driving on Somerset’s wonderfully maintained roads driving too and from work, the tarmac is in a rough state - no major potholes but worn tarmac. After approximately 15 minutes of driving I get a high pitched squeak, it isn’t a regular or consistent noise but appears as I hit a patch...

    Autel AP200

I thought you would say that. Looked at the RSW, but with a derv I would be limited with usability. Time to break out the piggy bank for a nanocom.

    Autel AP200

Piggy backing off this thread to save creating a new one. I’ve looked at the vehicle coverage against a 2001 P38, and it seems to list a good selection of systems it works with. have you had any experience with them?

    EVOQUE YES or NO

My partners was bought second hand off of a JLR stealer. She had one issue with the NS rear light not working but they fixed that under warranty. Car has just ticked over 28k miles. I’d be fairly confident in it lasting the remaining 3 years of the PCP (or until she trades it in for whatever next).

    EVOQUE YES or NO

In the corner OF the Evoque, my fiancé has one, and I’ll be honest I’m very impressed with it. It’s very comfy, quiet and very nice to drive. Boot was big enough for us to get 2 medium sized hold luggage suitcases in the boot when we went abroad earlier this month. It’s also surprisingly...

To be fair they come to me at work when the hammer won’t make something move. It’s a genuinely impressive amount of light it throw out. More than enough after a night time MTB and have to get the bike in the boot and get changed myself.

Is there wiring for it as well? Might fit another then! Not that it’s needed!

EBay led light - this is what I have now. Plug and play replacement. FYI it’s a very snug fit!

When I swapped mine out for an LED unit I don’t remember seeing any clips. From what I remember is was just a plastic tab at each end. Given the cost of them, I’d look to replace with an LED unit. I can actually see what’s in the boot when it’s dark out now.

What did you do with your Range Rover today

Went out and found a couple of local lanes before the weather set in. The car has now picked up a few scratches on the panels I’ll need to get sorted though.
