Not many I suspect but IMO the first services are the most important and may have spotted something more serious. Mine was 25k overdue according to the dash when I bought it but at 100k it had a fair few prior. I'd still expect it to last past 24K but maybe there are other factors involved that...

You haven't said if it's ever been serviced? or what the recall was for? It's not fair to blame them if it's been neglected.

If it's been serviced to the book try trading standards. From what I heard a while ago the guarantee guide lines take into account how long you would reasonably expect something to last.

Firstly I'd check if you have the remote start module fitted or find the plug. If it is you can pull the plug and short the white/green and orange/yellow to try and start the FBH. You will also need to remove the temp sensor from behind the front grill and stick it in ice cold water as the FBH...

Get him to disconnect the bodge and see if fixes the other issues. Unlikely to find someone else who has bodged it in the same way, unless of course it's an official bodge as recommended by LR bodge department which I doubt even they would do :)
