Looks like someone has put some warning lights in the 2 switch blanks - probably for spotlights/roof lights etc......... the only way to know for sure is to trace the wiring ;)

Pics might help? Any 'tell tale' near the lights?

Yep thats why i'm thinking its the timing - as yours will have been reset using locking pins when the belt was changed - my mates disco used to blow white smoke before i set up the timing properly - then it stopped as the timing was retarded ;)

Did you lock the flywheel before fitting the pump locking pin?

If you need to clean the valves take it for an "italian tune-up" ;)

Yep just remember to get the right sized crimps for the common live at the starter motor and for the post on the alternator (the posts are different thicknesses ;) )

So did you check the timing was correct?? Did that sort your smoke issue??

Might be an idea to service the callipers when you change the pads - make sure that the pistons and seals aren't damaged and move in and out of the caliper body easily under brake pedal pressure - don't forget to copper grease the back of the pads to prevent brake squeal ;)

Get the one with the right amount of holes ;)
