    I had pulled and checked fuse 44 but not checked the voltage across it, presumable it should be a nominal 12? the error in Gap IID is voltage lower than 9.6 so i will look for a measurment above 9.6v

    The resistor is across the wires where the yellow connectors normally are. so it is only the resistor conected not the battery disconect.     I am more concerned with the 2ohm resistor thing not working to clear the light even after clearing codes. Can anyone advise what I should look at next as it implies the new +ve cable when it arrives may not fix it.

    Battery is not at 9.6v if you look in upper lrfy of the Gap iid screen shots the battery voltage is shown. I have cleared codes with Gap IID. MOT checks the Airbag light comes on and goes off they don't check k on each component of the system.

    I am 99% sure that is a product of trying to start it a few times and it failing. a symptom not cause I think. It fired on easy start which makes me lean away from a battery issue but I know how they can be on the L322 so I will get it on charge.

    your saying if the fob is flat this happens? I thought the key was powered from a coil in the ignition barrel for that purpose
