Hey guys. Will get another pic later, but the hole is at the very top of the diff. Not sure if it is a new problem or not. First time I noticed it was yesterday so thinking it's a recent issue but, looking at the road where I park there is a few stains on the road so may have been going on...

Not fussed about exhaust like you say cheap enough to buy and may be able to weld anyway. Window is up after taking door panel off and finding that the rollers/washers that connect to the metal arms are shot, so the glass falls off, hence no window going up. Now the big problem! Looks like...

I don't Vin no. Would a problem with these caused the hole? Also the drivers window now won't close :( can see motors running but it isn't pushing the glass up! Think it may have slipped off :mad::mad::mad::mad:

Had my Disco 1 approx 8 months, 7 and 1/2 of them months it has been SORN. Of the 2-3 weeks I've been driving it I have already had 3 problems of note. 1. It wouldn't start....at all. So for the first 3 days of full landy ownership I didn't have a vehicle. Turns out it just needed a new earth...

So the one I saw has got no special place in the landrover world, it was just a private plate?

Just seen a Defender with reg J66 HUE in Sheffield. Is it a vip landy or just got a cool reg? Looked like the 50 year special edition model, any ideas?

I got a quoted £1000 a few months ago. That was for a 3.9 v8i petrol engine to LPG. Still considering doing it to save fuel money.

Well she's fixed! Turns out it wasn't the alternator but just a dodgy earth wire. Got a new one put on and been great so far :D First proper drive will be tomorrow or Saturday then look for some off road opportunities with her :D Love Land Rovers!!!

Yeah he checked everything and brought two machines up to check battery and the alternator. Should hopefully be sorted by today or tomorrow then just have to worry about petrol :D

My mechanic mate has had a look and reckons I need a new alternator. Any idea on prices?

Think you may be right guys. Had her on charge for another couple of hours and she's started fine! However when I flash high beams the radio goes off then back on a few seconds later! The key fob has also stopped working which has been fine every time I've used it.
