It's all fixed now. Local mechanique fitted the new chain. Amazingly he did it without removing the box from the car. Now all is well.

Ashcroft Transmissions Seems like a lot of major parts to change..

Good question. I expect the parts have no guarantee. I'm keeping the vehicle until something really major goes wrong. It's on 140,000 at the moment. It's difficult figuring out the quality from these websites. Here at Island...

Well, ****. Just spent over £1500 on a new ABS ECU, ABS pump/reservoir, centre exhaust box. Looks like I'm driving back to France carefully, and fix it there later..

That is correct, but the Z is under a snow cover till the spring.

Thanks, the propshaft are ok, they were checked and greased by the dealer in the summer when the front UJ was replaced.

I want to have a spare valve block for the EAS, but new ones are expensive! So, I'm looking at getting a second hand one. My question is, if it's advertised as working, are there any parts which could be close to worn out which can't be fixed with a seals kit?

Wanted in good working order, shipped to France. If it has the compressor as well, then so much the better.
