    series 3 clutch replacment

Given the reputation of britpart stuff it just makes sense to lessen your chances of having to do it again soon by using the best quality parts. After all there's not a huge difference in price really.

    Incredibly P****d of with Craddocks

Well after a 15 minute phone call this morning, most of which was waiting on hold for them to put me through to another person, and explaining the situation to no less than three different craddock employees, I have been assured that my missing parts will be here tomorrow. The fact that last...

    Incredibly P****d of with Craddocks

I've never used craddock before but I've had fun and games with Paddock's which is why I thought I'd give Craddock a try. I thought by ordering on a Monday if there were any hiccups it could still be sorted by the weekend. Wrong. These days I tend to judge a lot of companies on how quick they...

    Incredibly P****d of with Craddocks

Ordered parts last Monday morning. A set of door hinges etc, and a number of windscreen wiper parts wheelboxes etc. They didn't bother to send the order out until Thursday. It arrived on Friday while I was out working so I didn't get to open the box until the evening. Well they've ticked the...

Can't drive in a straight line

I recently had a pair of new tyres on the back and a pair of well worn ones on the front. It was scary to drive especially with any weight in it. New tyres on the front and it drives like new. I wouldn't have believed that the tyres could make so much difference but they did.

Can't drive in a straight line

Mismatched tyres can cause a lot of instability.

    Changing a 110 front end to a series 3.

Mustn't forget also that it will look ridiculous. Just my opinion of course.

    Producing Brake Pipes

Buying a flaring tool etc and a load of copper pipe and fittings is still cheaper than buying ready made pipes or indeed getting a garage to do it. And once you've got the tools you can have your vehicle back on the road same day instead of waiting for some bloke to make you the bits and post them.

Land Rover recalls 65,000 SUVs in U.S. for door latch glitch

Some of the doors on my fender have been known to fly open when the vehicle is in motion too. I just shut them again.

Amend an existing DS order- am I too late ?

Last I heard, from my son who works at Halewood, was that there were about 2000 disco sports parked up at the factory awaiting the sorting out of faults, which doesn't bode well. Bu then I suppose it's good that they've spotted the problems now and not after they've been delivered. Why, if you...

£3250 + VAT. It's not that cheap. Don't see a problem with the seller you can go and see it. It's not like you're going to pay up front.

    What's your Apollo 13 moment?

Hehehe I've done that one too. Drove about 50 miles in the ****ing rain with no wipers a few months back.

How noisey is your Defender and did sound proofing make a difference

General engine noise and rattling/vibration noise up to about 55mph, then after that all I can hear is the howling from the tyres. My arse goes numb long before the noise becomes a nuisance.

    Need advice choosing please!

That, sadly is the best advice given so far. Unless you want to become a self taught mechanic or you have endless funds to pay a garage Land Rovers are bad news. I have owned several of many different models over a long period of time and there is always a job that needs doing. I once bought a...

W reg Defender at the weekend - not what it seemed

You ought to be careful snooping about people's Landies. I had mine broken into a few months ago and so I'm very suspicious of anyone I see snooping about. The cops caught the little toerag that stole my stuff and I've just had a letter from the court saying they've given him a curfew and £145...

    Best tyres

Far better to spend your money on a quality tyre like BFG than a not so cheap remould like Insa. The BFG will last three or four times as long so far cheaper in the long run.

    Defender 90 trailer advice.

What a dumbass question. Surely the trailer is dictated by what you need to carry on it? Or is it just a fashion accessory like so much stuff you see on LandRovers these days.
